Biography

Andrew B. “Andy” Margolis is a Partner at The Siemon Law Firm Divorce and Family Law Attorneys, P.C., where he practices exclusively in the area of family law. A long-time resident of the Atlanta metropolitan area, Andy brings decades of courtroom experience, judicial service, and a deep, practical understanding of family law to his clients.

Andy graduated cum laude from Brandeis University with a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Legal Studies. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.

Following law school, Andy served as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Georgia, prosecuting a wide range of criminal matters, including family violence cases. That experience sharpened his courtroom instincts and strengthened his ability to evaluate evidence, assess credibility, and advocate persuasively under pressure.

Transitioning into private practice, Andy focused on representing individuals in complex and high-conflict family law matters. Over the years, he has developed an in-depth understanding of Georgia family law and is particularly skilled at quickly applying the law to the specific facts of each individual case. His ability to analyze situations efficiently, identify key issues, and craft strategic solutions allows him to move cases forward with clarity and purpose. He has assisted clients throughout Georgia in obtaining protective orders, divorces, custody determinations, and financial support, drawing on both his prosecutorial background and comprehensive courtroom experience.

Andy is also proud to have served for several years as a Judge for the Fulton County Magistrate Court, presiding over a variety of criminal and civil matters. His judicial service provides him with valuable insight into how courts evaluate arguments and evidence — perspective that directly informs his strategic approach to litigation.

Outside of the office, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their dogs. A passionate musician, he can often be found performing on drums, keyboards, or bass guitar at blues venues throughout the metro-Atlanta area.
