Retirement benefits single women

Making the choice to go through with a divorce can be a tough decision for Georgia women. Separation from a husband can be a very emotional experience especially if that bond has been in place for numerous years. Traditionally women have been strongly encouraged to stick with a marriage even through clear un-happiness. However, as times change so do social norms. “Grey divorces,” couples splitting after more than 20 years of marriage, are becoming much more popular in the twenty first century.

Many more women today than ever before are entering retirement divorced and happily single. These women setting the new trend enjoy the independence of single retirement, while other women contemplating separation are weary of the cost of that independence. Those socially and financially dependent on their spouses may voice concerns of stability but overall happiness is the main issue at hand, and these hurdles can and have been overcome by many.

A new book entitled “The Single Woman’s Guide to Retirement” has been recently released to bring answers to women’s concern about taking on the rest of life after separation. The book is filled with stories of experience and examples of single women who have thrived in retirement after a divorce. The book covers all issues from financial stability to love and self-fulfillment.

The book is also full of tips on how to stay engaged with life after a divorce. Many solutions are centered on finding enjoyable things to fill the void left from separation. The suggests that a part-time or volunteer job can add daily activity and social interaction to one’s life and living with a plutonic roommate can provide needed companionship and can also cut the costs of living significantly.

When faced with a tough decision it is often encouraging to know that many others have been in similar situation. For women contemplating a divorce it is important to understand the process and possible outcomes concerning separation. Contacting a family law attorney who handles divorces can aid in weighing the opinions of a new future life after marriage.
