August Siemon

August "Bud" Siemon is special counsel to The Siemon Law Firm, P.C.  He focuses his practice primarily in the area of criminal defense. Bud graduated from the University of Georgia, School of Law and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1976. During the first thirty years of his career he has served as lead counsel in over five hundred cases in state and federal court, including trial, appeal and habeas corpus litigation over two dozen of which have been death penalty cases. Throughout his career Bud has shown an unwavering commitment to the interests of his clients. As a result of his dedication and attention to detail he has been recognized with a listing in Best lawyers in America, Woodward and White, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 editions, been asked by fellow attorneys to serve as a consultant in over sixty capital cases across nine states and invited to speak at numerous law schools and professional events. In addition to his distinguished legal career, Bud also served his Country with valor and distinction during the Vietnam War as a "Green Beret" and Reconnaissance Platoon Leader in the 23rd Infantry Division. For his heroic service in combat he was awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Combat Infantryman's Badge.
